The deadline to waive the Student Health Insurance for
Fall 2009 has passed.

To waive or enroll for Spring 2010*, please follow the steps below.

*If you had an approved waiver for Fall 2009, you do not need to complete
a waiver for Spring 2010.  However, the charge for Spring will post to your account and will credit back off within a week.

Waive


1.    Go to www.studentinsurance.com

2.    Enter ‘UNCC’ in the Search Institution box then hit enter

3.    Click on ‘Waive’- third link on the left side

4.    Click on ‘waive’ (populates under the Waive link)

5.    Complete waiver form

**Be sure to disable pop-up blockers as the waiver form opens in a new window**


Enroll


Follow steps 1 & 2 above, then:

1.    click on 'Enrollment (Paid University)'

2.    If you did not enroll in the Fall 2009 semester select 'enroll' and if you did enroll
       in Fall 2009, select 'renew' and log in using the email address and password that
       you set up for the Fall

3.  Follow the on-screen steps to complete the enrollment form

                                                  

 

Need to know if your health insurance plan qualifies?

  • Any commercial health insurance plan that provides insurance coverage in the United States and is comparable to the Student Health Insurance Plan.  (i.e. Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna)

  • Medicaid

  • Medicare Part A and B

  • Tricare (formerly known as CHAMPUS)

  • CHAMPVA

  • Department of Veterans' Affairs (must be eligible for medical treatment at VA Medical Center and have a valid ID card)

               **All registered students are welcome to use the Student Health Center regardless of their health insurance plan**
