New Claims Process for Student Health Insurance
Beginning in the Fall 2010 semester, the Student Health Center will no longer accept reimbursement checks for students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance plan. The SHC will continue to file claims to the student insurance company, however students will be required to pay for their services at the time of the visit or they may forward the charge to their student account. After a claim has been filed and processed, the student insurance company will mail reimbursement checks directly to students and they will be responsible for applying payments to their student account.
Steps for the new claims process
To find out when a claim has been submitted and paid, or where your reimbursement check will be mailed, login into your student insurance account at http://www.studentinsurance.com/Schools/NC/UNCC/?CollegeID=101
